Item Details:


This Mixed Load of Seafood, Meats and Frozen Snack Food Items is being sold to recover funds for the insurance company. According to the seller the trailer carrying this load was involved in an accident when the trailer was hit from behind. The trailer doors remained sealed and intact after the accident occurred.

Adjuster Report: From the scene, the insured trailer was towed to Moab, Utah where the cargo was transferred to a relief unit. Prior to transport, the temperature of the insured trailer read approximately 28.1 to 28.1 degrees Fahrenheit which was noted at approximately 1:46 a.m. on August 9, 2012. At approximately 4:30 a.m., the initial start of the transfer, the temperature reading on the relief unit was 50 degrees Fahrenheit. The load transfer was completed at 6:30 a.m. in which the temperature reading of the relief unit was 30 degrees Fahrenheit. A final check of the relief trailer was conducted at approximately 10:45 a.m. on August 9, 2012. At that time, the temperature display reading was -2 degrees Fahrenheit.  On August 9, 2012, a relief unit was dispatched to Moab, Utah to pickup and deliver the cargo. Although not present for the transfer of the cargo to the relief trailer for delivery, we were notified that the temperature was set at -10 degrees Fahrenheit on that trailer until the delivery attempt was made to the consignee in Commerce City, Colorado the following morning where it was rejected. According to the delivery driver who was present, the consignee opened three boxes of product, concluded that it had thawed/refroze and also complained of freezer burn.
